Is Terra Studio free?
The Playground needs no account. A free account (Grove) lets you shape the sound and save three mixes. Canopy, with more sounds and features, is coming soon. See the plans.
Do I need headphones?
Not for the nature sounds, though they place sound around you much better. On speakers, choose Speakers in the Studio mixer for a clean left-to-right sound. Binaural tones need headphones to work at all.
Will it help me sleep?
Many people find calm sound helps them wind down, and the sleep timer fades out gently. We don’t promise any particular effect, and Terra Studio is not a medical device. Our safety guide explains what the research says.
How loud does it get?
Terra Studio caps its own output and fades every session in over a few seconds. Your device volume is still up to you: below 60 percent of the maximum is a good rule.
Does it work offline?
With Canopy you can install Terra Studio as an app and listen offline. All the sound is made on your own device.
What happens to my data?
We keep only what your account needs, with no advertising and no tracking. You can download or delete everything from your account page. Read the privacy notice.
